If you ever want to find MP3′s that are legal and pulled from live performances then I have a few sites for you.
Most of the artists on these sites are indie based but not entirely which is why you should check them out.
SITES W/ FREE MP3′S:
Updated largehearted boy – Viewer submission. Great collection of torrents, and live shows. Check out his “A to Z Guide To Online Music Downloads“
Elbo.ws – This blog has links to live performances and studio gigs. Your best bet is to search the site for whatever your looking for. Ive had lots of sucess with bands like Band of Horses, Rogue Wave, Gnarles Barkley and more.
So Much Silence – Tons of NPR shows. Not updated as frequently as I would like but Im guilty of that as well.
archive.org – This one has the largest list of any of them. Absolutly tons of music to download off this site, all of which is free. I have to say that the one thing that pisses me off about the downloads is that the filenames are all messed up which requires you to go through and change them all, but the artist list makes up for it.
3 little indie kids – I cant complain about this one. Check it out.
I list to at least ten legal downloads a day, and usually several live shows on my blog.
