I love Buckley’s version of Hallelujah. His version is so haunting… Awesome!

Hard to believe it has been over 12 years since he died (May 29, 1997).
I was actually living in Memphis at the time when he drowned and remember reading about it and hearing about it on the news.
I was still in the hospital battling Leukemia at the time when he went missing. The day I was released from the hospital (June 4, 1997) is when his body was recovered from the river.

Absolutely love this song. Any version. Buckley’s is, however, my favorite.
